Short Description of How to Use the Tracker

Getting Started:

  1. Authentication: The app automatically signs you in using a secure, private account (your User ID is displayed at the top). Your data is saved instantly to the cloud.
  2. Set Your Food Limit: In the Set Food Limit card, update the value (e.g., 5000 INR) and click Set to activate the spending alert. This is crucial for managing daily, variable expenses.
  3. Clear Sample Data: If you see the sample transactions, you can delete them one by one using the trash can icon to start fresh.

Daily Tracking:

  1. Select Type: Choose Income or Expense.
  2. Select Category: The categories automatically switch based on your Type selection (e.g., Pocket Money for Income, Food for Expense).
  3. Enter Details: Add a brief Description (e.g., “Bus fare,” “New novel”).
  4. Enter Amount: Input the Amount in INR.
  5. Click: Add Transaction.

Reviewing Finances:

  • Summary Dashboard: Check the top row for real-time updates on your Total Income, Total Expenses, and Remaining Balance.
  • Expense Breakdown: Look at the Pie Chart to visually see which categories are consuming the largest portion of your budget.
